Early Intel has created the first A.I. series specifically for Head Start. This is a learning cohort exclusively for IHSA members.
Program leaders will learn to use A.I. to strengthen data practices, find new insights, and create efficiencies. This series focuses on real-world uses that support compliance, quality improvement, and better decision-making.
Critically, this series includes coaching for implementation, to ensure that the practices in training sessions are applied in a way that works for your program.

OHS expects grantees to make the most of their data, and federal reviewers look for this competence. They also look for efficient systems for improving quality.
This series helps your team with practical strategies and applications. Because every training session is paired with coaching, you are assured support and confidence with implementation.
The initial training session in June will review expectations and help program leaders plan for successful engagement by their team. Over the summer, a coach will meet to support planning. The remaining seven sessions will take place in the Fall (dates and times listed below). Sessions will include time for participants to practice and ask questions. Coaches will meet with particular team members to support successful implementation.
Agency registration includes your entire management team for any and all training and coaching sessions. This includes access to session recordings. Participants will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the series.
As a bonus, registrants will receive access to Early Intel's full content portal, with recordings and transcripts from dozens of related sessions on topics ranging from federal monitoring to leadership.
Programs may defer their invoicing date to accommodate fiscal year timing, by indicating their preference in the registration section.
Early Intel is the leading firm advising Head Start programs on data and quality improvement practices. Summary: This foundational session will preview the expectations and learning objectives for the series, including plans to advance the effective use of A.I. across the organization. Discussion will include how to use AI responsibly, ethically, and safely within Head Start environments. Participants will receive sample policies and protocols for consideration and potential adoption. This session lays the groundwork for the fall sessions.
Summary: Learn how AI can support leadership teams in strategic thinking, program design, and continuous improvement planning. Participants will learn how to use AI as a thought partner, to synthesize community assessment and program data, draft strategic priorities, generate logic models and KPIs, prepare board- and Policy Council–ready summaries, and test “what-if” scenarios for program decision-making.
Summary: We will apply AI to ERSEA systems, including recruitment tracking, enrollment analysis, and attendance improvement strategies. Participants will learn how to use AI to organize recruitment and enrollment data, identify attendance patterns and risk factors, draft intervention strategies, and support continuous improvement efforts aligned with Head Start Performance Standards. We will also address the use of IA to identify specific, targeted interventions.
Summary: We will use AI to analyze child assessment data, observation notes, and classroom trends to support individualized instruction and intentional lesson planning. This will support education staff to identify learning patterns, plan differentiated instruction, and reduce time spent translating data into action. Participants will learn how to use AI to summarize assessment trends, generate individualized and small-group learning strategies, align activities to school readiness goals, and create family-friendly learning extensions—while keeping professional judgment front and center.
Summary: Learn how AI can enhance family engagement efforts and strengthen community partnerships through improved communication, outreach, and data-informed planning. Staff will be equipped with tools to personalize family engagement while reducing the administrative burden of communication and reporting. Participants will learn how to use AI to draft parent-friendly communications, summarize family survey themes, generate culturally responsive engagement ideas, and support partnership outreach—while maintaining authentic, relationship-based practices.
Summary: Learn how to use A.I. to enhance visual communication and marketing. We'll review A.I.-supported design tools to create professional-quality visuals, infographics, presentation slides, and summaries. This session will support the development of flyers, social media, and collateral for outreach, recruitment, parent engagement, and updates for Policy Council, governing boards, and community partners.
Summary: This session explores how AI can support health services by identifying trends, gaps, and follow-up priorities. Participants will learn to strengthen program planning, compliance monitoring, and follow-through by using AI as a planning and reflection tool. Participants will learn how to use AI to spot patterns in health data, draft action plans for screenings and follow-ups, create outreach messaging for families, and support cross-service coordination without compromising privacy.
Summary: This culminating session will synthesize the learning from the series, discuss obstacles and successes in implementation, explore how participants are using their new tools, and discuss anticipated next steps. It is a chance to celebrate progress and think about what comes next.
