Early Intel is opening its live member training to individual subscribers this Fall, on the following topics:

     -  Federal Review Prep -  Sessions on FA1 and FA2

     -  Building Attendance Strategies around Data 

     -  Reporting for Policy Council and Governing Boards 

     -  Developing Meaningful Family Partnership Agreements

  

Format and Schedule

The sessions include a mix of direct presentation and peer breakouts. Calendar invites are sent out the prior month, if not earlier. Recordings are always available, in case a registrant is not able to attend the live session.


Pricing

Individual session registrations are $190 each and the full series is available for $750.  

As a bonus, registrants to the full series receive access to the Earl Intel library of prior session recordings, via the member portal (a range of topics on Head Start management, compliance and quality improvement).

Navigating FA1 : A Step-by-Step Overview
Monday, October 26th, 11 am PT (2 hours) 

    This two-hour session will help Head Start programs build readiness and confidence for FA1 federal reviews. Participants will walk through the FY27 monitoring guidance and protocols, gaining an overview of what to expect and how to prepare. The training will cover key elements of the review process, including pre-monitoring preparation, data tours, classroom and center explorations, and fiscal transaction testing. While primarily focused on understanding the process, participants will also have opportunities to observe and discuss review activities in action.

Navigating FA2: A Step-by-Step Overview
Tuesday, October 27th, 11 am PT (2 hours)

    This two-hour session will help Head Start programs build readiness and confidence for FA2 reviews. Attendance That Matters: From Data Tracking to Family-Centered Action Plans
Tuesday, Nov 3, 11 am PT (90 min)

    An exemplary Head Start program will share its approach to monitoring attendance, identifying patterns of concern, and developing individualized attendance plans to support consistent participation. Participants will learn how the program uses data, family-centered strategies, and ongoing follow-up to track progress, strengthen accountability, and address chronic attendance challenges.

Governance by the Numbers: Meaningful Reporting for Boards and Policy Councils
Tuesday, Nov 17, 11 am PT (90 min)

    This session will explore how Head Start programs can design meaningful governance reports that meet Head Start requirements while giving the governing body and Policy Council the information they need to fulfill their oversight and decision-making responsibilities. Participants will learn how to move beyond simply reporting data to presenting concise, relevant, and actionable information that highlights program performance, emerging trends, compliance concerns, and areas requiring governance attention.

Family-Attuned Practices for Meaningful Family Partnership Agreements
Thursday, Dec 3, 11 am PT (60 min)

    Discover how one Head Start program transformed its Family Partnership Agreement process by using family-attuned practices that build authentic relationships, honor family strengths, and support meaningful goal-setting. During this session, program leaders will share the tools, strategies, and implementation lessons that have increased family engagement and strengthened partnerships between staff and families. Participants will leave with practical ideas and adaptable resources they can use to enhance their own Family Partnership Agreement process while fostering a more responsive, family-centered approach.
